Reporting to the VP of Finance and Operations, the Director of Finance is responsible for leading the day-to-day operation of the finance department.  

Key Responsibilities:

Drive the financial planning of the company by analyzing its performance and risks

Retain constant awareness of the company’s financial position and act to prevent problems

Assist with the design and maintenance the company’s finance IT system

Assist with annual audit and preparation of annual financial statements

Assist with developing and maintaining internal control best practices

Oversee billing and revenue recognition process

Prepare timely and detailed reports on financial performance on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis

Conduct analysis to make forecasts and report to upper executives

Ensure adherence to financial laws and guidelines

Qualifications:

CPA or in the final stages of completing the CPA program

5+ years of experience working in a finance role with similar responsibilities to what is described above.

You need to have experience producing a variety of financial reports including consolidated financial statements.

A strong knowledge of IFRS and the ability to understand and convey the impact of new or changing standards on the company’s financial reporting.
