Ascend's Sponsorship division is looking for motivated individuals to drive revenue as a sponsorship development account team. The role will be focused on identifying brand partners aligned with the various fundraising partners that use the Ascend digital fundraising platform. This role is critical to driving revenue and developing and executing core in-venue, social, digital, and experiential sponsorship programs. This position is responsible for sales, ongoing management, and measuring Ascend's North American fundraising and sports and entertainment sponsorships.


We are looking for an Account Executive, Partnership Sales, to strategically drive partnership deals strategically. You will work closely with the Sr. Director of Partnerships to execute our sales and go-to-market strategy. Revenue generation is the primary focus of this role, leveraging existing relationships and cold-call new sales leads to generate sales.

  • Drives partnerships, responsible for crafting, executing, and measuring essential in-venue, social, digital, and experiential partnership programs.
  • Supports the research and strategy work leading into key partnership renewals and assists the internal team with partner negotiations.
  • Oversees the in-house activation budget for the client's complete sponsorship portfolio, responsible for internal tracking and reconciliation.
  • Takes on specialized roles or projects, including working with third-party vendors and partner agencies to execute client programs.
  • Leads event coordination planning, implementation, and execution as applicable.
  • Performs research and analysis of various demographics and statistics to help inform strategies and initiatives.
  • Monitors media, trends and changing sports, entertainment, and cultural landscape, to keep company executives and team members aware and to bolster Ascend's position as a leader in the fundraising industry.
  • Works creatively with client team members to develop decks and report materials.
  • Coordinates client and company programs through various tools such as email, phone calls, and conference calls.
  • Internal team members perform various tasks as needed, such as research, reports, daily updates, editing of materials, etc.
  • Stays up to date on client product/service offering and can thoughtfully present to potential partners.
  • Maintains positive relationships with clients to encourage new and repeat business opportunities.


  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree OR 5+ years relevant experience with a minimum of 4 years of direct experience in sponsorship sales, account and project management within the sports, entertainment, and fundraising field.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of the sports and entertainment industry with a working knowledge of what is happening across cultures today
  • Basic Photoshop and design skills a plus
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Suite, particularly withPowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
  • Must be able to multi-task and self-manage to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
  • Must be flexible and comfortable to assume multiple roles as needed by the team.
  • Possess exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Fulfills responsibilities with minimal direction.
  • Motivated, purposeful, persistent, and skilled negotiator.
  • Strong diligence and highly organized.
  • Ability to think creatively in a team environment.
  • Must be flexible and react calmly under stressful circumstances.
  • 2+ years of experience with digital and social media analytics preferred
